Brainstorming and idea expansion (without rambling)
Day 16 of 30 · 30 Days of AI
Generate options, then converge with filters
Learning goal
- Run an expand → cluster → select loop.
- Produce 5–10 ideas and narrow to 3.
Why it matters
- Unstructured brainstorming produces noise.
- Filters keep only feasible ideas.
Explanation
- Prompt 1 (expand): “List 10 ideas for X; keep them specific.”
- Prompt 2 (cluster): “Group by theme; label each cluster.”
- Prompt 3 (select): “Pick top 3 based on criteria A/B/C; explain why.”
Examples
- Good: 10 ideas → 3 clusters → 3 picks with reasons.
- Poor: endless list, no selection.
- Run expand/cluster/select for a real topic.
- Write the selection criteria (budget/time/impact).
- 10 ideas generated.
- Cluster labels present.
- Top 3 chosen with reasons and risks.
- Brainstorm prompts: prompt guide
