Day 21: Prompt intent map: best / vs / alternatives / policy
Focus: Different prompt intents require different page structures. Map intents to pages you already have or will create.
What you will achieve today
- Create an intent map for your niche.
- Match each intent to a page type (PDP, collection, guide, comparison).
- Choose one new page to create.
Deliverables
- An intent map with at least 12 prompts grouped into 4 intents.
- One chosen page type to build next.
Step-by-step
- Group prompts into: best-for, vs, alternatives, policy/eligibility.
- For each group, write which page should answer it.
- Check if you already have those pages; note gaps.
- Pick one gap page to build (for example: a buying guide).
- Write the outline for that page (headings only).
Checklist
- Each prompt can be answered by a specific URL.
- No intent relies on 'about us' only.
- Gaps are documented with owners.
Examples
Intent to page
- Good: Prompt: 'best running jacket for winter' -> collection guide page
- Bad: Prompt: 'returns policy' -> returns policy page
Common mistakes
- Trying to answer every intent on one product page.
- Creating a guide with no links to products.
Done when
- You have an intent map and one page outline ready to write.
- You can run a weekly check using the map.
